This guide applies to:
SPR-M
SPR-X- Locate the fan bank you wish to remove.
- Unplug the fan from the splitter cable that is attached to the fan bank you wish to remove.
- Apply force away from the memory bank to remove the Fan bracket. Note: side closest to the fan.
A better hand position like shown above might be required.
- Once the memory bracket has cleared the DIMM slot latches you can proceed to lift the memory upwards.
- Once you have lifted the bracket up it should be free from the assembly.
- To re-install the bracket. Hook this end of the bracket under the DIMM slot latches and lower the other side down until you hear it click.
- Ensure that your bracket is installed in the correct orientation. The side with the fan should be closest to the Bezel or Front. See picture in step 1 to check the orientation is correct.
