SPR-M / SPR-X - Forcing PCIe Link Generation

You may need to force a specific PCIe generation for cards to avoid training at the wrong speed.

You can do this via the BIOS.

Please see the SPR PCIe Layout Guide for slot numbering details.

Enter the BIOS by pressing "F2" during boot
Navigate to "Socket Config -> IIO Configuration -> Socket 0 Configuration"
Highlight the "Link Speed = [Auto]" for your desired PCIe port
Change the value to the desired Gen. For example "Gen 3 (8 GT/s)"
Save and Exit the BIOS
