Note this guide is only for the "value rail kit"

First slide the rail out so that it is fully extended and the section that the chassis attaches to is also fully extended.

The part that will attach to the chassis needs to be removed from the rail kit to make installation easier for both the system and adding the rail kit to the cage.

To remove the section of the rail kit that mounts to the chassis we need to move the blue latch in the direction of the arrow. That will release it from the rail kit.

We are now going to add the Rail to the cage. Identify the front of the rail kit by finding the side that has 3 threads instead of 2. I have taken pictures of installed the left side of the

Next after identifying the front and back the rail kit we can mount the rail into the cage.

Using the included M5 screws, we are going to line the top hole on the front side of the rail kit and install the screw through the cage into the kit with the screw head facing outwards.

Add the second screw for the front side of the rail kit in the bottom threaded hole. The centre hole thread will be occupied by the captive thumb screws that are fixed to the system. This is how the system gets locked into the cage.

Repeat these steps for the rear of the rail kit and ensure that the screws that go into the rail kit through the server cage are at the same heights and in the same “U”.

Repeat these steps for the other side and ensure that it is on the same “U” height and make sure the rail kit is facing inwards.

To prepare your system to be installed into the rail kit we are going to attach the parts we removed from the rail kits earlier.

These are a toolless mounting kit and should slide on when the holes are lined up with the rail kit mounting points. They should slide towards the front of the chassis and the arrow on the blue latch will point towards the front of the chassis.

Once you have got these attached to the chassis on both sides and both rail kits are in the server cage you can now install your system into the cage. Line up the chassis with the rail kit and feed the chassis through the rail kit. You will find that the chassis stops after being installed ½ or 1/3 of the way into the rail kit. This is normal. To insert the system fully you must pull the blue latch in the direction that is shown on the arrow and simultaneously insert the system further into the chassis until the ears / handles are flush with the cage.

To secure the system in the cage to ensure that it does not move or slide of the rail kits. Simple use the captive M5 thumb screw that is fixed to the bezel and screw into the rail kit through the cage. A screwdriver is optional for this but they are thumb screws so this may not be necessary.
